SieMatic S1. A kitchen for all the senses

The latest design concept to be released by leading German kitchen manufacturer, SieMatic, is the groundbreaking S1. The idea behind the design is to create a living environment within the kitchen. The result is something incredible gaining industry wide recognition as a pioneering idea.

With a strict design ethos at it’s core, there are several elements to a true S1. to Intended to be a juxtaposition of tactile opposites, the range incorporates together hard and soft, thick and thin, gloss and matt.

Leaving the traditional handle behind but also moving away from the handless kitchen SieMatic launched in 1988, the S1 MaticMotion system utilises discreet motorised mechanisms within the top rail of each unit or drawer pack so to maintain a completely seamless and uninterrupted front finish throughout the entire kitchen.

Bringing the full functions of a home into the kitchen where they belong, an entire multimedia system has been integrated effortlessly into the kitchen by way of a Smart Board and S1 Interactive Grid that bring iPod docking, TV, DVD and PC capabilities to the room. The controls also offer both internal and external temperature readings, an advanced lighting system plus many more state of the art functions including the new ‘MaticMotion’ draw release mechanisms.
