Rural luxury at Barker Road

When Cameron Homes were specifying their imposing development The Tudors in the Four Oaks conservation area in Sutton Coldfield, they naturally chose Project Kitchens to consult on each residences’ kitchen design and specification.

Mike Sewell, Business Development Manager at Project Kitchens explains the process, “We had been in talks with Cameron Homes for some time and knew The Tudors was a great project for us given its high specification and unique location. These two architect designed five bedroom homes are priced at over £1M each so needed a real wow factor in the kitchen.”

“We worked closely with the Client to deliver a truly spectacular result. Cameron Homes’ brief was to incorporate unique features to give an individual edge to these sumptuous detached homes to reflect the breathtaking location and quality of build.

The Four Oaks conservation area has a heritage of Arts and Crafts architecture with Carhampton House replacing the original Four Oaks Hall which was demolished in 1898. Many of the early houses in this tree lined area are listed buildings demonstrating the areas environmental importance which Cameron Homes have had to consider in their design and build for The Tudors.

Our response to the brief was to design each kitchen with a luxurious entertainment area with every feature the most discerning buyer could want. The entertainment area includes a coffee machine, wine cooler, boiling water tap with filter water and preparation sink all in its own space. This useful area is complimented with glass shelving and stylish LED lighting to give the perfect finishing touch.

The main kitchen features SieMatic S2 for understated elegance with an imposing tall bank recessed into the wall with a feature bulkhead. This design feature is complimented by a grand central island featuring unusual detailed Corian. It has12mm ultra slim Corian to the front profile and a 60mm reinforced breakfast bar to the rear ensuring the full design potential of the DuPont Corian product is incorporated. State of the art appliances are seamlessly included with Siemens stainless steel ovens, two fully integrated fridge freezers and a dishwasher to make life effortless.”
