Project Kitchens Invests in Smart and Winner

Over the last few months Project Kitchens has invested in KBB Smart, a costing and ordering system, and Compusoft Winner, the latest in CAD design technology. These investments will ensure that the firm’s design and project management teams continue to set new standards for the contract kitchen market.

Richard Muench, Estimating and Procurement Manager, comments,

“KBB Smart is a costing & ordering system that is developed solely for the kitchen, bedroom & bathroom industry. We acquired a bespoke package, which integrates our quotations, orders and warehouse management into one accessible system, so we can see a job through from beginning to end in one place.

“Smart’s quoting system is more streamlined and the ordering system draws its information directly from the quote, making the whole process more efficient. With the arrival of this new software, our office systems are directly linked to our distribution centre, so we can see in real time if a delivery has arrived or not and we can deal with any missing items before it becomes a problem.”

Nick Mather, In-House Designer at Project Kitchens comments on Winner,

“Having the correct CAD software is an extremely important part of the design process. Winner enables us to not only keep up with our already high standards, but improve and enhance these standards further. It ensures that we: provide accurate, clearly presented kitchen plans and elevations; produce high quality realistic rendered visuals; and improve efficiency within the team. Having used the software for a few months now, we have continued to improve our working methods and the finished quality of our kitchen designs. The feedback from clients and their advisors, such as architects and interior designers, has been incredibly positive.”

Amanda Dagg, Director at Project Kitchens comments,

“Anyone who has worked with us knows that we never sit back on our laurels. It is vital that our software and infrastructure matches the commitment and skills within the business and that we continue to exceed client expectations.

“2018 has been an exceptionally busy but rewarding year behind the scenes at PK – launching the Beckermann range, being awarded Achilles and Constructionline Gold status, taking on 10 new staff and refurbishing our Manchester office. We approach 2019 from a position of strength and focus, some really exciting client projects in the pipeline and with our usual attitude of continuous improvement and investment. Belinda and I believe wholeheartedly in giving our team the tools to do the job and it is essential we continually improve.”
