Located in the heart of Manchester’s Ancoats Urban Village close to the vibrant Northern Quarter, Ice Plant is a mixed use scheme in a stunning listed building with an interesting history as an ice cream factory!
Project Kitchens designed, supplied and installed 82 kitchens for the residential units utilising a mix of Signia and SieMatic ranges.
Having taken the Client on a design trip to the SieMatic factory in Germany inspiration was taken from the technique of layering textures alongside the use of light.
Working in partnership with the Clients own design team Project Kitchens explored this concept and delivered a stunning layered effect through the creation of nib walls, bulkheads and feature recesses into which each kitchen was seamlessly fitted.
The end result delivered kitchens that blended naturally into these open plan apartments without compromising the living areas
